Titan Pool Reels FAQ's | Pool Covers and Rollers
Is It Easy To Install The Titan Pool Reel?
Absolutely. The Titan is supplied prebuilt (except for the main tube which is in kit form) and user installation is very straightforward. Each pool cover roller comes with a step-by-step instructions booklet making assembly easy. As a rough guide, budget either a morning or an afternoon for installation, and although it can be done alone, it is easier with two people.
Do You Offer An Installation Service?
We do not offer an installation service primarily because we are located in the UK and we offer our rollers worldwide. However, we do sometimes sell our pool reels via swimming pool stores when customers ask them to source from us, and being nearer to you, these stores are in a better position to offer an installation service if required. Having said that, our reels have been designed for user installation, and it really isn't difficult. We even supply some of the tools you'll need with the kit.
Do You Deliver To All Countries?
Normally the answer to this is yes, however due to ongoing conflicts impacting air safety, the major carriers are currently not operating in certain regions. In our online shop page here we have integrated all the countries we are able to easily deliver to within one of the drop down menus, but if yours is not listed, then please contact us for assistance.
I Run A Swimming Pool Business, Can I Offer This Product?
Yes. We are always interested in working with local providers like yourself. Typically, local providers can add value for our customers by importing our reels for them, combining them with a new pool cover, and including the installation of both. If this is something of interest to you, then please visit our trade customers page here.
Do The Prices In The Online Shop Include Sales Tax Or Duty?
Our prices do not include local taxes and duties for customers outside the UK (which encompasses most of our customers). These charges may be added to our prices when the goods enter your country. Please refer to our worldwide delivery page for further information.
Does the roller come with a pool cover?
No. We specialise in pool reels only and do not sell pool covers. Unlike our pool reels which have been designed for economical postage by air, pool covers are very bulky and expensive to travel that way, and so are typically sold via local outlets / distributors after being transported by sea cargo. As such, we recommend you source the pool cover locally.
How Do You Post A 25-Foot Pool Reel Tube By Airfreight?
Thanks to the fully sectional design of the Titan's main tube, we package the main tube in kit form where each carton of parts stays under 120cm / 4ft in length. This then enables even the longest of pool main tubes to be posted economically by regular air cargo. Quick and low cost.
Can I Use A Titan Pool Roller On My Indoor Pool?
For indoor applications where there may be very little direct sunlight falling upon the onboard solar panel, we offer our optional 'Indoor Electrics Kit'. This kit comprises a mains powered charger and a low voltage 20m (60ft) cable which goes to the reel. If you require one of these, simply select it in the online shop page (Step 3) and we'll include one in your order.
Does The Pool Cover Go Onto The Pool On Its Own, Or Do I Need To Assist It?
Many pool covers will 'push' themselves out across the pool's surface without any external help. However, depending on the shape of your pool, the cover type and the reels proximity to the water’s edge, some installations will need the operator to help guide the cover out. If needed, typically the amount of human effort required is very minimal as the motorised roller is doing the heavy work, but in case your cover needs guiding, we include a guide out line with every roller. More details on where is best to locate your reel, along with a pool size checking tool, is shown on our 'Check My Pool' page here
What Is The Life Expectancy Of The Titan Pool Reel?
The Titan pool reel's design life is 15 years. As a testament to its durability, we still have access to one of our early prototypes which was installed on an outdoor pool in 2011, and that is still working just fine. Over its lifespan, the batteries will need to be changed periodically, and we offer these as spares if needed. These batteries are also widely available worldwide if you choose to source them locally.
